A visit to our distillery offers an authentic southern experience unlike any other. Located in the Boggs’ hometown of Anderson, SC – in a building filled with character and history – our distillery makes a name for itself the moment you walk through the doors. Let our team show you around, and get a firsthand glimpse of our 1,000-gallon copper still and a behind-the-scenes look at the full distillation process from mash to jar.

If you’re looking to host an event at a space with character in every corner, look no further than our Tasting Room & Bar. Housed on the first floor of the distillery, guests can enjoy an immersive experience with an up-close look at our distilling process along with on-site parking and exclusive amenities such as a cocktail lounge, tasting bar, restrooms, and ample seating. From corporate meetings to intimate gatherings, we’re happy to accommodate your needs.

Do you offer tours and tastings? How much do you charge?

Yes, we offer free tours and a variety of tasting options. Choose from a Deluxe Tasting of 9 flavors ($10 with $5 coupon towards purchase), flights ($5), and samples ($1/each)
Do you have to be 21+ to visit the distillery?

No, minors are allowed on site. A valid ID is required for all tastings and purchases.
Are dogs allowed on the property?

Yes!
How many bottles of moonshine/whiskey can I fly with?

Please check the TSA guidelines and confirm directly with your airline.
Are there any upcoming events at the distillery?

There’s always something going on at the distillery! Keep up with all of our events here.
Why are your moonshine flavors lower proof than the White Lightning?

We offer a variety of flavors and proofs to appeal to consumers of all kinds. Though it is known for being notoriously high proof, “moonshine” or unaged corn whiskey is defined by its process and ingredients rather than its proof. Our flavored ‘shines have been proofed down to accommodate those with a milder taste.
Why do some flavors have color to them while others are clear?

Our original moonshine flavors (including Apple Pie, Blackberry and Peach) are made using fresh, local cider contributing to their vibrant color, while our newest moonshine flavors are infused with organic flavor extracts (colorless).
Do you make your moonshine on-site at your distillery?

Yes, our moonshine is handcrafted in our 1,000-gallon copper still. All of our products are bottled and labeled in-house by our distillery team.
Do we need to make a reservation for tastings?

Reservations are not required for tastings. However, we do recommend that guests arrive at least an hour before closing time to enjoy the full experience.
Where can I find your product in liquor stores?

What is your return policy?

For questions about returns or exchanges, please contact us at inventory@palmettodistillery.com with your name, phone number, email, and/or order number.
What is your shipping policy?

Orders are generally shipped within 48 hours (Monday-Friday) using FedEx Ground. FedEx Ground’s delivery standard is 1-5 business days without delays. Flat rate shipping fee of $7. Free shipping on orders over $100 (after discounts, before taxes).
